CHANGE...!

To change the world, first change yourself!!

26/11 terror attack has given birth to a lot of emotions within us. It has awakened people from their deep sleep. Mumbai city has given up on being tagged “the spirit of Mumbai”. It has now woken up to the harsh reality that Wednesday night. Many innocents lost their lives, the brave commandos fought till their last breath to wash away the terror, infrastructure of the city was shaken and the whole country was alarmed…!! Maybe words won’t be enough to express the loss country has suffered. Everyone’s agitated; scared, furious, hurt expressed their anger differently towards whom, the politicians. It’s not denying that they aren’t responsible, but they aren’t completely. The entire administration process and the matters regarding the defense i.e. the police force is taken by I.A.S officers of the country who remains faceless. We blame politicians because we see them, and in spite of being in the limelight they are busy filling up their bank accounts for the retirement plan.
In last few days there were a lot of articles and rallies which says we want change. Everything can change, rather everything would have being much better if every individual would have taken care of his own responsibilities. No one cares about anyone but themselves. To make it niche, Mumbai is a city of dreams where hundreds and thousands of people come everyday to try their luck, many are successful, many struggle and survive and the remaining few go back home. In this whole scenario the most affected area is the transport. Trains are jam packed and no one gets inside without hurting anyone, pushes others and makes their way inside. Our country is facing many little problems which cause big issues and for this no one else but we are responsible. We blame the politicians for not doing anything for the country but let’s ask one question to ourselves that being the citizen of the country what have we done for it?
There are many such ways to be an asset to the country. It’s us who has brought the country on this level. The power has always been in our hands but we were so busy doing our own things that when it was taken away we didn’t realize.
India needs leaders and not politicians; the era when our country has given great leaders has washed out. When we think about leaders, its Jawaharlal Nehru, Subhash Chandra Bose, Mahatma Gandhi, their pictures instantly take a place in our minds, but when we talk about today’s time, its politicians who run the country to run their “political career” flashes into our heads which makes us angry and feels helpless. India has always been a powerful country but the people never realized and took it for granted.
All this time each of us have seen the work and the way the country is ruined. 10 people just had the guts to enter the financial capital of the country, gun down over hundreds and injured many, set the oldest monument on fire, and shake up the whole country for 60 hrs. It’s a loss of losing very efficient majors in this incident and also the innocents who didn’t ever think that coffee would be the last one of their lives. It’s still scary when a thought about you being one of the hostages, knowing you could die any moment now. Shiver runs though the body. Goosebumps!
Peace rallies, candles were lit, biggest protest took place, furious people from different part of the city came together to express their anger. Questioning the government, asking for security, looking forward for a change, but nothing would change unless we don’t.
Change always starts with you, with me, with us. We need to change ourselves then the world will change. Any revolution has always started at a micro level n then it grows and becomes the way of life.
Again; coming to the terrorists who were powerful than anyone in the country at that time to fire hatred till their last breath. Their act was too inhuman to be forgiven. This terror was at a level where everyone could see it, feel it, but what about us? Don’t we terrorise one another in our domestic lives. India has loads of filed applications of domestic violence, some lying in the police station like just another file added to the attraction of the paper work, some cases pending till he victims grow old and die and some choose an option of keeping quiet. We have to stop this terror within ourselves to make the terror leave the world.
Everything in the world is give and take; no one can do anything alone. If you don’t bribe the policemen they won’t have any opportunity to increase corruption. Vote only the educated and qualified candidates and not entertain criminals who think they can run the country for their own good. Each of our vote is makes a difference. Little things bring and make a huge difference. Small things like not breaking the traffic rules, obeying the law, voting, not littering, standing up for what is right.
This is the 21st century; all the last centuries have made big revolutions and have set an example which makes you believe that anything is possible. This is something small not time consuming but very very effective. When we think of something to change, then let’s change ourselves to make India a better place to live.
